Evgenija Homšak has graduated at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Liubiana, completed specialization in the field of medical biochemistry and finished Masters postgraduate study at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University Ljubljana. She finished her PhD in the University Medical Faculty Maribor. Since 2007 she is registered as European Specialist of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EuSpLM).
Evgenija Homšak currently works at the Department of Laboratory Diagnostics, University Medical Centre Maribor, as the head of the laboratory for the diagnosis of hormones and autoimmune diseases. Evgenija does research in Immunology, Molecular Biology, and Endocrinology. Their most recent publication is ‘ST2 as a novel prognostic marker in end-stage renal disease patients on hemodiafiltration’.
